A.  We are always looking for event planning, photographers, event day help, pre-event marketing and social media assistance, general office support, grant writing, and more. Plus interested and qualified community members to serve on the Board of Directors, those with medical expertise to be a part of the medical advisory board, survivors to join our survivor support group, caregivers to join our caregiver support group, home cleaning and errands for patients in treatment and more.

Do you have a unique skill or hobby? Are you a hard worker and good helper? Tell us how you want to help and we’ll find a place for you.

A. Yes. We welcome all groups to participate. Friends, local shops, corporations, school groups, sororities/fraternities, Rotary and Lions clubs, track teams, and running clubs have all volunteered at our events and added loads of fun and spirit.

A: You tell us! Can you help with an ongoing project? Do you have an hour a month, or several hours a week? We will find ways to use your skills.

A. Just bring your enthusiasm (and comfortable shoes).

A. Yes. We ask that kids under 14 volunteer with a parent or supervising adult.

A. Yes. Lots of companies actively support employee volunteerism through community outreach, employee volunteer matching funds programs, as well as corporate teams. Complete the application and include your company name in the “skills” field. We’ll contact you to arrange the details.

⦁ Post it to your favorite blog, online community, and running club calendars
⦁ Email event details and tell your story to your neighborhood, association, and company newsletters
⦁ Drop off brochures at work, school, and neighborhood shops
⦁ Blog, or write an article for your neighborhood, community, or school paper
⦁ Post pictures and videos live from the event to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
⦁ Share your story with us for our social media content and newsletter

A. Yes, there’s lots of opportunity for media pros who want to make a difference, as well as PR, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, and Marketing students. Running media relations for an event is also a great opportunity for anyone rejoining the workforce  to gain hands-on experience writing press releases and pitching stories the media.
